After a great start to the season it was inevitable that we were going to have an off day and today was just that. From the start of the game to the final whistle we never looked like ourselves. We dwelled on the ball for too long, we didn't pass and spread the play like we have done, we didn't mark, we all chased the ball and the accumulation of all these things just resulted in an all round poor performance from us. Our goals came from Junior in the 12th minute but by this time we were already 3 goals down. Our second came from a great free kick from Louis 2 minutes from full time. Credit to Beeston, they were a really good, strong side and deserved the win today. Hopefully this is a bit of a shock to the system and we are raring to go next week to put it right.

I will give a mention to Finley in goal, he was outstanding, made some spectacular saves and was player of the match by some way. We really are lucky to have him in goal for us and it's added a real solidity to the backline, a lot to learn with distribution but his cat-like reflexes are superb !.

We are back at home in the cup next week and are hoping to get back on track with a more positive performance.
