Although we may be slightly behind in sharing our Player of the Month announcements publicly, the awards themselves have continued as planned — recognising the hard work, dedication, and positive attitude consistently shown by our players.

This month, we are proud to recognise Matteo for his exceptional commitment and development.

While Matteo is not currently part of the matchday squad, his dedication to training has been outstanding. He attends week in, week out, and his progress since his very first session has been remarkable. Arriving as a quiet and shy player, speaking very little English, Matteo has grown tremendously in confidence. He now expresses himself on the pitch with real Brazilian flair, brings positivity to every session, and is always encouraging his teammates while giving his absolute best.

Matteo’s work rate is excellent. His quick feet and ability to read the game allow him to create fantastic opportunities for himself, and he consistently looks to make an impact in training. What he may lack in physical size, he more than compensates for with determination, strength, and an impressive willingness to press opponents and force errors. His commitment to carrying out his defensive responsibilities is equally commendable and never goes unnoticed.

He is highly receptive to coaching, regularly taking on feedback from both coaches and applying it to his game. Matteo is a pleasure to work with — polite, well-mannered, hardworking, and always eager to improve.
